Welcome curlers to the 2010 Saskatchewan Fire Fighters provincial curling championships. We are pleased to have the honor of hosting this year’s event. If you have any questions, comments or problems throughout the weekend please feel free to contact Dale Nixon – 435-7212 or any one of the Moosomin Fire Department staff. If there is anything we can do to make your weekend in Moosomin more enjoyable we will do it.
Just a reminder that we do have a “limo” service for all curlers this weekend. The numbers/names to phone when you need transportation are at the end of this agenda. This is a service we encourage all curlers to use as it is free of charge and we do not want to have anyone driving after refreshments.
Also the curling rink kitchen and Granite Room is open throughout the weekend for your enjoyment. There are some meals included in this weekends events (see agenda below).

Thursday February 4:
- 8:00 p.m. Open House – come have a drink at the Moosomin Fire Hall
- Open Bar – all are welcome
Friday February 5:
- 9:00 a.m. Draw 1
- 12:00 p.m. opening ceremonies
- Master of Ceremonies for the opening ceremonies is John Hodgson (Moosomin RCMP)
- Speeches by Ralph Elgren (director SFFCA), Don Bradley (Moosomin Mayor), Rob Hanson (Moosomin Fire Chief), Mike Schwean (Moosomin recreation director) and Deanna MacDonald (President of Moosomin Curling club)
- 1:00 p.m. AGM
- 3:00 p.m. Draw 2
- 5:30 p.m. supper at curling rink – Chilli and a bun (free for curlers with ticket). $6 for anyone else
- The fun and laughter continues in the Granite room at the curling rink. Never be scared to buy Dale a drink (Ralph)
Saturday February 6:
- 8:00 a.m. breakfast at the curling rink
- 9:00 a.m. Draw 3
- 12:30 p.m. Draw 4
- 4 p.m. Draw 5
- 7:00 p.m. curling ceases for the supper
Supper to take place in the curling rink (free for curlers with ticket) $15 for anyone else who wants a meal
- Boomerangz Bar and Grill have brought in a DJ for the evening for us so once we are done in the Granite room lets head off to Boom’s and have a little fun. (maybe we can get Comfort to sing some AC/DC)
Sunday February 7
- 9 a.m. Draw 6
- 12 p.m. Draw 7
- 3 p.m. Draw 8 (if necessary)
The Moosomin Firefighters, the Moosomin curling club, the town of Moosomin and myself would like to thank each and everyone of you for helping make this weekend a success.
